IAPO Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group
Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group (IBPPG) is a membership association for independent or “indie” book publishing. IBPPG is part of the International Association of Professional Organizations (IAPO).
Independent book publishing professionals are people who are employed by, or provide services to, the independent book publishing industry. They include publishers, editors, writers, proofreaders, designers, marketing professionals, distributors, printers, agents, bookstore owners, and others. IBPPG membership is also open to students and supporters of indie book publishing.
In 2007, Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group established the Next Generation Indie Book Awards to recognize and honor the best independently published books of the year in 70 categories. The Next Generation Indie Book Awards is now the largest book awards program for independent publishers and authors.

Choosing Your Membership Type
You have two options for membership in the International Association of Professional Organizations (IAPO):
Student Member
If you are a student of IAP Career College, you may join as a Student Member. The membership fee for Student Members is $2.99 U.S. per month or $19 per year. Your membership will renew on either a monthly or yearly basis unless you cancel.
After your year as a Student Member has ended, you will be given the choice of whether or not you want to continue as a Professional Member.
Professional Member
If you are currently working in the profession, or a related field, you may join as a Professional Member. The membership fee for Professional Members is $4.99 U.S. per month or $49 U.S. per year. Your membership will renew automatically, and you can cancel at any time.
