The Event Planner Master Professional Certification Course is an advanced event planning certificate course offered online by International Association of Professions Career College (IAP Career College) for professional event planners.
In this part-time online professional certification course you will increase your knowledge of event planning techniques. You will then use professional event planning skills to successfully complete an event planning project of your choice.
Throughout the course you will have access to a Faculty Member who can provide you with both educational assistance and professional mentoring.
As a successful graduate of the Event Planner Master Professional Certification Course Online you will receive a certificate recognizing you as a Master Event Planning Professional™ (MEPP).
Who May Take the Event Planner Master Professional Certification Course
Please note that this is not an introductory course. It is intended for professional event planners including those who have achieved a high level of success in the basic Event Planner Certificate Course offered by International Association of Professions Career College.
To ensure that the student has personal access to a Faculty Member, only 15 students will be accepted into each Event Planner Master Professional Certification Course.
What Happens in the Event Planner Master Professional Certification Program
The Event Planner Master Professional Certification Course is an online learning course with one optional assignment and one required assignment described below in the “ASSIGNMENTS” paragraphs. Students must earn a passing grade to successfully complete the course and receive their Master Event Planner Professional (MEPP) certification.
Like IAP Career College’s basic courses, this part-time online certification course is self-directed, which means you may study and complete the assignments at times that are most convenient for you from the comfort of your own home.
The Event Planner Master Professional Certification Course has a recommended completion date of 12 weeks from the starting date or 120 hours. However, you may choose to complete the Event Planner Master Certification Program in as little as 4 weeks or as long as 24 weeks, depending on your schedule.
Throughout the course you can receive up to three hours of personal teaching assistance or professional mentorship from a faculty member. That’s up to one half hour per week for 6 weeks with personal attention from a professional mentor.
Although experienced event planners may find it is possible to successfully complete the Event Planner Master Professional Certification Course without assistance from a faculty member, it is recommended that you take advantage of this resource to receive maximum value from this certification course.

COURSE LENGTH: 12 weeks part-time

RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITE: A grade of 80% or higher in the 6 week basic Event Planner Certificate Course from IAP Career College
LANGUAGE: Fluency in written English
ASSIGNMENTS: ASSIGNMENT: There is one optional course assignment and one required course assignment. The optional assignment, which is not evaluated, is a Learning Plan that students may create and discuss with their Faculty Member to assist in developing the student’s professional skills throughout the course.
The required assignment is a Master Project which demonstrates the student’s professional skills. Evaluated on a pass/fail basis, the Master Project consists of a written paper and, depending on the topic, may be supplemented by other materials such as video, before and after photographs, or client testimonials. Instead of an academic research thesis, students in our Master courses write about an actual professional project carried out for a client either before or during the 12 weeks of the course.

REGISTRATION FEE: The Event Planner Master Professional Certification Course, including all services and benefits, is valued at $797 U.S. As this is a new program, the course is currently being offered for a reduced fee depending on your starting date.
For 2023, the course is scheduled to be offered once per semester. The registration fee for the course is $31269. This fee may be tax deductible as a business expense, and is fully refundable if your application is not accepted for any reason.

How Much Money Does an Event Planner Make?
In their 2016 salary survey, Meetings & Conventions reported that the average corporate salary for a meeting planner in the U.S. is $79,231. An hourly fee is another common way for event planners to charge for their services. Hourly rates vary widely. An experienced event planner may charge $150 per hour, while a beginner may charge $25 per hour. $50 per hour is typical. Flat fees (also known as a “project fee”) may be used when the event is large. Fees can range from $75 for a one-time consultation to thousands of dollars for full-service event planning.
